Digital Experience Design

Our experiences with digital experience design – the first fully remotely conducted experience design block seminar at the LMU Munich.

Cons

  • Reduced personal contact (Cedric, Jonas, Lor, Jana)
  • Fewer haptical prototypes (Daniel, Flo, Felicitas, Jonas, Petra, Jana)
  • Communication between group members is hindered by distance (Felicitas)
  • Less spontanous exchange between the meetings (Selina, Jana)

Pros

  • Reduced supervision effort due primarily digital prototyping (Cedric, Daniel)
  • Ability to get creative (Selina, Lor, Annika, Jana)
  • small groups of 3 enabled good communication and sharing of work (Selina, Romy, Flo, Lor, Jonas, Annika, Petra, Jana)
  • Lots of immediate feedback (Romy, Felicitas, Petra, Lor)
  • Good balance between guided and unguided parts/Very good division of theory and practical tasks during the two weeks (Flo, Jonas, Petra, Lor)
  • Lots of flexibility e.g. time to work part-time besides (Flo, Felicitas, Jonas)
  • Possibility to join feedback meetings spontaneously without long travel planning (Felicitas)
  • clear schedule (Lor)
  • template was very useful and made creating the ppp easier (Lor)
  • It was like the ux III seminar, just more practical and better [Jonas]
  • By creating wireframes and mockups you could gain more experience in using UX tools, which I find especially great and helpful for future projects (Petra)
