Day 10 – 11.03.2016

Final Day! Two weeks of idea finding, conceptioning and prototyping lie behind us. All groups developed impressive products in reference of great personal experiences. So it´s time to present our prototypes and their concepts.

We were very happy to welcome two experts of experience design as guest auditors of our final presentation. Getting some additional feedback from people with practical experience in this field.

The presentations consisted of the main steps the groups passed through by developing their product. So the first part involved the personal experience as well as the derived needs, pattern and aims as foundation of the concept. Afterwards the User Story as a specified description of a fictive person or group of persons acting with the generated product and the according storyboard were shown.

The second part contained the presentation of the prototype. Among an UML-Diagramm, which shows the different states of the prototype that can be achieved, the film prototype was shown. Thereby the functionalities were offered in operational environments.

At the end it became exciting again. The evaluation results were presented. But all products have succesfully passed their practical test. Beside some suggestions the prototypes got a very good feedback and creates hope for a promising future.

After each presentation a feedback-round was started. All of those present could ask questions once again and give some feedback about the presented prototyp. All in all also our guest auditors were entranced by the development processes the groups showed and the products generated.

We look back on two great weeks of learning, creativity, development and a lot of fun. It was a great experience focusing only on an idea and developing it into an prototype regardless the realization of the functionalities. Without constrains we could completely concentrate on meeting the derived pattern and create innovative products. At the end we got a good understanding of how experience works – a solution for the implementation can always be found.

Thank you so much Daniel and Simon for this very interesting two weeks! – A great lecture you shouldn´t miss 🙂
