The Bracelet Buddy helps parents to be more relaxed when watching out for their child while being in a café, restaurant or on the playground.
Parents often have the problem, when they are on the way with their child, that they permanently have to look after their child. They are worried about the safety of their kids, when they don’t observe them all the time. Even when they meet in a café with friends it is hard to let their child just play on its own without supervision. So, for parents it is challenging to just meet with friends, talk to them, let the children play, be relaxed and not to constantly have to worry and watch out for their children.
Our team thought about how parents could feel safer, could be more relaxed and don’t have to watch their child all the time. So, we invented the “Bracelet Buddy”.
One of the parents and the child get a bracelet. The bracelets are connected to each other and can detect how far the devices are away from each other. The parents can choose a maximum distance for how far the child is allowed to be away from the parents. The distance from the mother or father is shown on the display on the child’s bracelet. If the distance is 80% exploited, both bracelets start vibrating and the distance is shown on both devices. Now the child knows that it shouldn’t move further away and the mother or father knows that the child is near to the limit of the allowed distance they can take from their parents. If the child moves further than the maximum distance, the alarm starts. The bracelets start beeping, vibrating and flashing. This alarm won’t stop before the child returns to the mother or father with the bracelet. When the child is back at the parents the child’s bracelet shows a nice animal picture with animal sounds as a reward for coming back.
With the “Bracelet Buddy” parents can be more relaxed, feel safer and let their children play without observing them permanently.
